NOSTRI
VOLONTARI - OUR VOLUNTEERS "A SOLIDARITY SHELTER" |
|

My
name is Julia, I am 23 and I come from Odessa, a
beautiful Ukrainian city located on the coast of the Black Sea. This is
a great opportunity for me to help people and to be useful. We
work with immigrants and refugees, help at the Intercultural Center.
And this work is organized in such a way, that we are always in touch
with
people involved in this project. |
My
name is Anna Tokareva, 23. I come from Yekaterinburg, Russia. Two years
ago I graduated from the university and I’ve been in teaching at a
primary school. Till one day I took a decision to change my life.
In October 2011 I arrived in Italy as an EVS volunteer to assist Mondo
Nuovo staff in the on-going projects and carry out my own ideas. For me
it’s a unique opportunity to get experience in the sphere of social
work (dealing with refugees and asylum-seekers in particular), to learn
the system from the inside. I’m sure this on-the-job experience will be
enjoyable and fruitful as it’s an important part of my professional and
personal growth.
|

My name is Zoltan Janicsak. I came from Hungary to support the work of
Mondo Nuovo as an EVS volunteer. In my country I am a social worker and I work
with homeless people in a hostel. Here I would like know better an other
sector of the social work and I would like know new
people and learn new methods to resolve social problems.

I am Nejdet, one of the four
volunteers of “APS Mondo Nuovo”,
selected for “A Solidarity Shelter” project. As volunteers here we work with immigrants and refugees, work in the intercultural center, “Youth in Action”
programme activities and we also attend an Italian language course.
